A Wireless Dana.
Palminfocenter reported of a new wireless Dana.
I was lucky enough to have used the Alphasmart Dana for review purposes, and I was really impressed. The built is strong enough to withstand the torture of a 7 year old school boy. (Well, I have a 7 year old and he co-tested the Dana with me). Now with the upgrade of a WiFi (802.11b) capability built in the device, it packs a lot more Ummmph!
The new Dana will also sport a new 16 shade grayscale display, which looks great from the picture above. Also added to the price is additional 8MB of RAM. Now the Dana has 16MB of RAM. Price wise, The new Dana now costs USD429, compared to USD399 price tag on the previous model.
It would be nice if the new Dana comes with a colour display. Perhaps Alphasmart thinks that, since its target market is going to be in the education sector, color is secondary and try to maximise battery life the best way possible.
