Hello ... T|T3
I bought myself the Tungsten|T3.
My Palm Zire71 universal connector went haywire during the weekend, causing hard resets and refusing to hotsync. I tried to reinstall the palm desktop application assuming there was something wrong woth the application but the problem persists.
I tried to hotsync using 2 other hotsync cables to rule out a faulty cradle, but the same thing happens. It refuses to hotsync and resets after removing the Zire71 from the hotsync cables. Hotsync via infrared connection was completed successfully. Hence my conclusion that the Universal Connector is the problem.
I sent my Zire71 back to the retailer who is going to help me out getting a replacement unit from palmone, and while I was there, I played with the Tungsten|T3. I tinkered with bluetooth, paired the T3 with my ole Ericsson R520m mobile phone ... and after a few hours I decided to pay for the PDA. I know I'm going to get another Zire71 but I decided to get one anyways.
The initial plan was to buy a Tungsten|E for the wife and an IR keyboard for myself. Now, I'm getting the T3 for me, forget about the IR keyboard for the moment and will pass the replacement Zire71 to my wife.
I am now still in "adjustment mode" migrating from a 320 x 320 res screen to a HiRes+ 320 x 480 resolution screen. And Oh!! .... the slider on the Tungsten need some getting used to as well.
