WristLinx X2X ... Calling Dick Tracy
WOW ... saw this while browsing the-gadgeteer.com site.
It is a wrist watch and a two way communicator merged into one cool looking device. Great design, if you ask me. Price wise not bad at all ... USD 50 per piece, so since you need two to Tango, it would be a USD 100 investment. With a communication range of 1.5 miles or approximately 2.4 kilometers, it is a handy gadget to have. Scenario: I am at the hardware section of a department store and the wifey is busy trying out shoes and handbags. When she's done, she call on the WristLinx and paged me ... " I'm done shopping" ...and I'll quickly respond "OK dear, will be waiting for you at the car park" Great isn't it? One thing that is making me think more than once to but this (then decided not to get it) is the hassle I might have to go through when I ordered the toy. The WristLinx is a communication device and I might need to get a special permit from the Malaysian authorities to "bring it in".
