WiFi SD for Palm Zire71
Well ... after much delay, SanDisk announces an SDIO 802.11b Wireless card for the PalmOD PDA to hit the stores end of this month or early July.
There's a big BUT here ... The new wi-fi card will only work with the Zire71. SanDisk puts the blame on PalmOS not being truly SDIO compliant, hence the problem creating drivers for PalmOne devices unless a patch for the OS is released. That's it for the good news for now. I personally gave up waiting for the wi-fi SD card. Instead I am looking forward to a new PalmOne PDA that has Wi-Fi and bluetooth built-in. Hewlett Packard did it on their IPAQ 4150, Sony has the "European" Clie TH55, and I thing PalmOne will hop into the bandwagon soon enough.
